Launch Story: How and Why I Built EduLaunch Kit

Hey Indie Hackers 👋

I want to share a quick story about something I built recently — and why I think it matters for creators like us.

The Problem

Over the past year, I noticed a pattern:

✅ Course creators wanted to launch fast, but…
✅ They got stuck in design loops, slow dev cycles, or decision fatigue.
✅ Most templates were either too bloated, too rigid, or simply not made for speed.

As a dev, I kept hearing:

“I just want to validate my course idea quickly!”
“I don’t need a full LMS — just a beautiful, clean landing page, a dashboard, and somewhere to embed my content.”

I had the same frustration when building my own digital product sites.
So I decided to do something about it

The Solution: EduLaunch Kit

I built EduLaunch Kit — a Next.js + Tailwind Starter Template designed to help course creators launch in 30 minutes or less.

It’s:
✅ Minimal but not bare
✅ Easy to customise (even for non-devs)
✅ Designed for speed and clarity
✅ Built with modern stack: Next.js + Tailwind CSS
✅ Optimised for embeddable platforms (Vimeo, Gumroad, LemonSqueezy, etc.)

I even added a feature flag system so creators can hide/show parts of the app without deleting code — makes validation way easier.

What’s Inside?
✅ A landing page to pitch your course
✅ A creator dashboard to upload content
✅ A student-facing course viewer
✅ Clean, dark/light theme toggle
✅ GitHub + Gumroad-ready

Feedback So Far
I launched it quietly and got some early love:

“This is my 3rd time getting a template here and i must say, its been so useful for my need. Thank you”
“The design is clean and well-structured, with smooth navigation and strong visual hierarchy that makes it easy to follow.”

Honestly, that felt great.

But I’m still learning — marketing is harder than building.
Some days, I don’t make a single sale. Other days, I get amazing DMs.
It's a rollercoaster

Why I'm Sharing This
I'm sharing this not just to market it, but because I think more devs should build for creators.
There’s a huge opportunity to help people get ideas to market faster.

If you’re working on a similar tool, I’d love to swap notes.
If you’re a course creator or indie dev, check it out — feedback is gold.
