My newsletter is https://mythicalai.substack.com/ - a weekly 'what is happening and how you can use it' about AI
Realizing it really helps to be writing about a field that has general and high interest. If I was writing about US Labor Laws, I promise I would not be getting consistent subscribers.
Besides picking a trending topic, the biggest source of traffic and subscriptions have been Twitter. Engaging with other people talking about AI and mentioning the newsletter where it makes sense.

- Continue interacting on Twitter
- Reaching out to my friends asking them to subscribe.
Thanks for sharing your progress! Curious, how much time does it take promoting in this way via Twitter? Have you considered paid Twitter ads or not there yet?
Doesn't take long. I am already reading and tweeting about this kind of stuff.
For example I have only tweeted 25 times about it directly - https://twitter.com/search?q=from%3Ajoshdance mythicalai.substack.com&src=typed_query&f=live
Probably another 50 tweets using a specific article URL.
So doesn't take too long.
I thought about paid ads, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Probably will at some point.
