built minifon because screen time limits never worked for me. i needed friction, not willpower.
the app adds delays before opening instagram, focus schedules, pomodoro widget. no sub ever. under $5 one-time.
launched on kickstarter 2 days ago. 2 backers so far lol. 21 days left.

Day 2 and still sitting at 2 backers — no sugar-coating it. Since yesterday I've been heads-down on distribution: set up an automated TikTok pipeline so short videos go out daily without me touching it, did some Reddit outreach in a few focus/productivity subreddits, and have a handful of YouTube Shorts queued up for the next week. The goal is to just keep showing up consistently and see what actually moves the needle. 19 days left and a long way to go, but I'm learning a lot about what it takes to get strangers to care about something you built. Curious — for those of you who've run crowdfunding or early launches, what actually got you your first backers outside your immediate network?
quick update — we're now live on kickstarter too! honestly curious how people handle the distraction problem on their phones. anyone here tried replacing their launcher? what was your experience?
