Here's the story.

The trigger When the Claude watermark news broke, I went looking for a tool to check my own AI-assisted drafts. What I found surprised me: most tools only handle one type of watermark, and one popular site counts line breaks as "hidden characters" to inflate its count. Seemed like an opening.

What it does

There are actually two completely different watermark layers:

1. Invisible Unicode characters (zero-width spaces, BOM, bidi controls) — deterministic, removable

2. Statistical watermarks (Claude's SynthID-Text) — the signal is in word choice itself, only a rewrite touches it

So the tool has two modes:
