Launched a free tool to organize, compare and refine your GPT prompts

Like many others, I'm knee-deep in the AI project craze.

But every time I've had an idea, I've found it frustrating and unwieldy to manage, evaluate and experiment with different variations of GPT prompts.

To scratch this itch, I built Promptly, a free, lightweight editor and playground to help perfect our prompt engineering.

With this tool, you can ...

• save, clone and test your prompts directly in the interface

• evaluate how they perform given different contexts, which can be reused across multiple prompts

• see how many tokens + $$ each request costs, and see your total OpenAI spend for the month

• run and save your prompts easily with keyboard shortcuts

• create and test prompts on your phone - it's fully mobile responsive!

If you need to sharpen your prompts for a knowledge bot or a programming copilot, or you're constantly tweaking settings like Temperature and Top P, Promptly could be useful for you.

The to-do list is neverending: folders, search and sort, history, templates, grading, importing ... it’s tempting to keep building, but I'm trying to follow the advice of many an indie hacker before me: just get it out there and ship it!!
