After spending several weeks on building mylinkpreview.com (ReSTful API for requesting link previews) we've finally launched a MVP.
We are thrilled to see what you guys think of some of our features, such as: is URL safe (beta), embedding a fully responsive link preview on any website/app and the design of the previews.
For me, the YouTube icon is weirdly overlapping the "Request an API key' text.

When typing a new url, in the "Send Request" section it can take long enough that it's confusing if it's actually requesting. Consider adding a loading UI while it waits for the request to finish
Hi Mor,
We are sorry to hear that. We will have the responsive issues fixed with the next release. Since we only focused on the functionality of the dashboard and link preview for MVP you will note our dashboard is also only for desktop for now. Our goal is to have the site responsive for all devices for November's release.
Congrats, it seems like an interesting use case.
One minor FYI: the website navbar is a bit messed up on mobile.
Hey Jki, thank you for your comment and letting us know about the site. We have not yet made the site responsive on all platforms, but we intend to do so in the next release :).
Hey this is awesome! Would love to pick your brain on your experience getting this off the ground!
As of now I am simply posting about mylinkpreview around websites like indiehackers, reddit and product hunt to see what people think of the product. This way I can make modification to MVP and then start contacting clients (websites) to see if they will be willing to give us a try. If you have any thoughts, or comments I look forward to hearing them.
I'd be curious to hear how you got your site, user management and payment plans set up. Would you mind hopping on a call at some point to share your experience?
Of course not, please contact me at [email protected] and we can arrange something.

Hi Alx.
Those are some good questions but firstly, we're super glad to hear that the site is clearly explained and designed, thank you :).
Now as for your questions, i'll answer the second one first. We do not have any paying customer yet, but we do have a website (client) that is using us currently. We hope to fix some bugs, and test our product before we reach out to clients.
Now as for your first question. I do not know how big the market is for this product. However, I do know that there are a lot of website implementing their own link previews or using deprecated libraries/api such as linkpreview.net or github repos. We noted that even sites like Indiehackers, Facebook, Medium, etc all have some sort of a link preview embedded onto their sites. So we looked around for some good algorithms, apis, and even repos that did this for us, but they all lacked something. This lead to market validation. So we asked around and some of our clients were intrigued by the ideas. Although our market validation only consists of few clients and research, we think there is a need for this service and thus created mylinkpreview api.
I hope we've answered all of your questions.
