Waitlist: https://www.avvinue.com/pet-travel
Earlier today, I posted about an idea I have about pet travel booking site to help people find, search and book pet-friendly flights, hotels and more. I posted about this idea on a Facebook group about "Pet Travel" and immediately got people interested.
I even used the IndieHacker's suggestion from today's newsletter to ask people if they wanted to beta test the product. (Guess it's less promotional, which Facebook group admins absolutely hate... trust me, I know).
From that post, people immediately started showing interest in the solution and they started mentioning all their upcoming pet travel -- some domestic in the US and even international travels. But once the comments started adding up, I didn't want to lose momentum or the opportunity, just in case the FB group admin deleted the post.
So I spent an hour on a new waitlist on the website so I could capture interest in what I'm building and now can capture emails while we spend a few weeks to build out the product! I shared the link in an "update" and via DMs and immediately got people to signup for our waitlist!! So exciting to see them trickle in... and now have what I need in order to start promoting and sharing.
I'll be sharing updates as we map out the MVP features to help pet travel be much easier.
Here's the waitlist landing page: https://www.avvinue.com/pet-travel
What do you think of the landing page and what suggestions do you have?
The site looks great! I think this is a really strong value proposition, "Search, book and reserve pet-friendly flights, hotels and nearby activities in minutes."
A couple small tweaks to consider:
A final comment is a little more on the strategy side:
Hope this is helpful - Keep building!
These are such amazing points of feedback! Thanks for bringing them up, which I'm going to take into account and make some updates this week.
I'll share when it's updated. Thanks !!
What pets do you support? Maybe a couple of images of pets would help!
I would also move the name of the air companies further at the top (under the first join waitlist) so people immediately understand this is for airplane travelling
Those are great suggestions! I will add the pets so it's more clear what pets we support, as it's a decent list! And then will look at adding brands further up, to include airlines and recognized hotel brands because we work with those.
Does the header information make it clear or do you think something else would make it more straightforward?
