I recently launched BeautyTestAI, a tool that combines AI-based facial analysis with personalized, shareable visual outputs.
The idea came from a simple but recurring observation: many people, especially women, are genuinely curious about how they are perceived in terms of appearance. Traditional AI beauty rating tools offer only a numerical score, often with no context, no explanation, and no emotion. The experience can feel impersonal or even dismissive.
With BeautyTestAI, I wanted to create something more expressive, structured, and thoughtful.
Beauty Scorecards: Users receive an AI-generated beauty score, but instead of just a number, they get a designed “beauty card” that can be downloaded or shared. These cards are styled in multiple visual themes—ranging from minimalist to dreamy, retro, or anime-inspired aesthetics.
Personalized AI comments: Each card includes a short AI-generated comment based on the photo. These messages are crafted to be friendly, sometimes humorous, and occasionally reflective—designed to provide light feedback, not judgment.
Built for self-expression: While the core functionality is appearance evaluation, the actual product is about expression and personalization. Users can explore different photos and styles, and share the result as a form of visual identity.
A lighthearted self-check for curiosity
A shareable identity card in social media spaces
A stylized expression of how you look through the lens of an algorithm
The system uses a facial symmetry and proportion-based model for scoring.
Commentary is generated using prompt-based LLM techniques.
All processing happens server-side; no images are stored.
BeautyTestAI was designed to turn a mechanical process (AI scoring) into a more engaging and visually compelling experience. It’s not about rating people—it’s about reimagining how we present and play with digital identity.
