đź‘‹ Hey Indie Hackers!
I just launched DoCV, an AI-powered CV and cover letter generator 🚀
Job hunting is already stressful, and tailoring a CV or cover letter for every single job can feel overwhelming. That’s why I built DoCV, to take away some of that pain. With just a CV upload and a job description, our AI creates tailored, ATS-friendly CVs and professional cover letters in minutes.
We’ve also added:
ATS Analytics: your CV is processed and scored against ATS factors, with suggestions you can apply directly in a live preview.
Job Match Insights: see how your CV aligns with the job description, identify skill gaps, and get recommendations to strengthen your application.
Whether you’re a new grad, a career switcher, or someone applying across industries, the goal is simple: help people stand out, save time, and feel more confident in their applications.
I’d love to hear your feedback 🙌
What’s missing?
What would make this tool even more valuable for job seekers?

Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for your thoughts!
— Saber, Maker of DoCV
This is a smart launch, Saber—tailoring applications is exactly where most job seekers burn out. I like how you’re combining ATS analytics + job match insights, that’s a killer differentiator since many “AI CV tools” stop at just formatting.
One thought: you could make the value even sharper by adding micro-feedback on tone in cover letters. For example, flagging if a draft sounds too generic, too passive, or mismatched with the company’s style. A lot of candidates lose the edge not because of hard skills, but because their messaging doesn’t resonate.
Also, it might be worth considering a “confidence score” or “fit index” that gamifies improvement—people respond well when progress is trackable.
Solid direction overall—this feels less like a gimmicky AI tool and more like a practical job-hunting co-pilot.
Thanks so much for this thoughtful feedback 🙌 really appreciate you taking the time.
You’re spot on about tone in cover letters. We’ve been thinking about how to go beyond just structure/keywords and into messaging that resonates. Micro-feedback like “too generic” or “too formal” is a great way to make it more actionable, I’m adding that to the roadmap.
The “confidence score / fit index” idea also clicks with me. Gamifying the process could make it less intimidating and help job seekers feel real progress as they refine their applications. That’s exactly the supportive experience we’re aiming for.
Thanks again for the encouragement, it means a lot!
