Launched Idea Download: A quiet place for ideas and the people you share them with
Shipped to the public yesterday. ideadownload.com.
I built it for me first. For years my ideas felt like a problem. Not because they were bad. Because I couldn't do them all. I'd start one, and three new ones would land before I'd finished the thought. It became a backlog instead of creativity.
So I made a quiet place to put them. Private if it's only for me. Public if I want to send it into the world. Quick notes alongside for the half-formed thoughts that aren't quite ideas yet. Connect with someone here and you can message them directly.
No feed scoring my ideas. No metrics counting them. No algorithm deciding which of mine matters this week. That's deliberate.
Stack: React, Supabase (postgres, RLS, edge functions, web push), Vercel.
Solo build, tested with five mates, public May 26. Open to feedback.
