Launched in Producthunt on the same day as our biggest competitor. Is it a bad idea?
Hello Indie hackers,
I recently posted that we were building Bullet.so - a notion based website builder within the first month, we crossed $12.5k in sales 🚀
However, to get more eyeballs during this phase, we decided to launch on the same date as our biggest competitor (Super 3.0)
But the general rule of thumb is to avoid the days when any biggest products is launching. So, why then?
To give you a perspective, we currently have 300 users and they have 30k (mentioned on their website). So there wouldn’t be a better day to get more eyeballs from my customers.
So, we launched on the same day as them because I could never imagine getting similar ICPs with same problem visiting producthunt.
Since we were also hustling hard, posting in multiple forums, it would only be beneficial for both of us, as notion website builders
