Launched my first app but nobody wants it. :(

http://appskull.nudasoft.com

I created a web app starter kit called Appskull. and launched it with a documentation on Codecanyon but nobody cares about it. But I didn't feel like I wasted my time because I can keep using it to make new apps. I will continuously make it better.

Feedbacks are welcome :)

Try adding a landing page, instead of a sign in page, when you first navigate to the page. On the landing page explain what the product is, what it does, etc.

I'm very hesitant to sign in when I have no idea what is going to happen (even when you provide the credentials). I had to look at the page twice to realize those were actually demo credentials.

Another thing you can try is, on the landing page, add "live demo" CTA and clicking that automatically signs in and takes user to the demo dashboard.

Hey! thanks for the feedback :)

Actually there is a landing page on Codecanyon:

I shy away from signing up for random services. I signed up for 4 services today already trying out kanban boards. I just cant make myself do another

No one wants your app..because they don't know it exists..and they have no idea what it does .

I have no idea what the app does. It seems like some admin system that can only create users? What's the point?

We don't always know what people will like until we make and ship! it's not fun, but not a failure either! definitely not a waste of time. but if nobody wants it i suggest asking the people who have seen/used it why they don't like it and iterate if possible. if that isn't possible, keep making until something sticks!

There are so many free solutions that you need to put much more efforts to make people pay their own money for what they can get for free. Just a "landing on codecanyon" and a simple list of features are definitely not enough.

Oh man! Sorry to hear that Nuda soft.

I always make sure I do a bunch of research into demand before I start a project.

I know it's hard, but you HAVE to do it.

For what it's worth, I've wrote a blog post on how I gauge demand for new business ideas.

I recommend every indie hacker does at least 3 of these steps.
