Hey indie fam!
I've spent the last 186 days working on my iso app project, and finally launched it on the App Store & Product Hunt!
Focused Work is a productivity app for iPhone & iPad, that helps students & people working from home, focus and structure their time more effectively. πͺ
Over the last half year, I managed to bootstrap the entire process from wireframe, to design, coding, marketing, and launching.
It has been an amazing experience that's helped me to meet new people, and discover communities that I wasn't aware of beforehand.
Across the 186 days, I've been keeping a journal log of my experiences, as a snapshot of my mindset and what I was going through at the time. The idea was to braindump everything going on, so I could recall events and share them with other indies down the track. I'd like to inspire them to challenge the difficult parts in creating your own product, as the indies before me have!
I'm really excited to blog about these experiences, and will definitely share them here. π
Feel free to check out the app here: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/focused-work, and if you find it interesting, i'd love to hear your feedback!
I'm happy to answer any questions too. π
Cheers,
Michael
PS: Just as I was about to share this post, I discovered MacStories had published an article about it. For a more in-depth read, here's the link: https://www.macstories.net/reviews/focused-work-review-staying-on-task-amidst-growing-distractions/
