Launched my first SaaS today!

https://shotfeed.io/

My name is Stuart, I run a small software development company called Fuel the Web (https://www.fueltheweb.co.uk/) out of Buckinghamshire, UK.

I’ve been a full stack software developer in the industry for over 10 years, working with clients like Apple, Polaroid and Shell. In my experience, feedback for the work I've built in the past has been really all over the place in terms of how it’s delivered. Some bits come back over email, some via slack, Trello, …you get the point. It becomes hard to track the feedback between individuals and teams.

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on a new product to help address this situation, Shotfeed (https://shotfeed.io/). Its 1 line pitch is that it "Simplifies the feedback and collaboration process between designers and developers". The hope is to unify the feedback process into a tool between designers and developers. A user can go in and create a team, invite their peers, designers and developers. They can then either upload screenshots of a website that a developer has built for them, or use the in-system screenshot generation functionality which will go and create screenshots of different viewport widths automatically for you. Then, they can go and annotate the screenshots and have a back and forth with the team/developer involved.

It's a young product, so there will be lots of feedback I’d like to take on board in order to better serve companies.

I’m continuing work on it over the coming months and here are some features that I’m hoping to add:

  • Integration with tools like Slack, Asana, Trello, Github etc.
  • More fine tuned user settings (control notifications etc)
  • Generate downloadable PDFs of the screenshots/annotations
  • A more in depth "invite system" where you’re able to invite collaborators outside of your team who aren’t part of your monthly plan

Massive congrats on the launch! We've recently launched our first SaaS as well so I know it's a huge achievement to just get something out into the world! Well done!

Thanks Ryan! Same to you and good luck on the upcoming PH launch! I think I’ll work up to that soon too!

    Nice! good luck!
Heavy competition in this market, do you have a chrome extension or injecting a javascript code?

How you built the landing page? looking really good.

A chrome extensions is next on my list, as I think that's a huge pull for the product. Also thinking of some webhook functionality, to kick off a new feedback stream when a CI tool has built a new website or something.

Thanks, it's mostly tailwindui.com components! I'm no designer!

Hey Morris, I helped a similar tool get to 6K ARR in 2 months by nailing user acquisition and market positioning. Can help you do the same, just drop me a DM.

Hi Stuart, eventually once I click on "Get Started" or "Sign Up" buttons, I got DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN for shotfeed.test. Might be worthy to check that 💪

Thanks so much Quento. I recently made some updates to the home page to make it static HTML, rather than JavaScript for better SEO. Must have copied some test URLs. Thanks a bunch - working now!

I like the simplicity of the site and how it is solutions-oriented.
