Launched my first SaaS web app!

Answering multiple emails, replying to innumerable calls, forcing people to finish their deadlines. Project creation can be really tiresome without proper management, so we at ProjeX have created the platform to efficiently manage your projects by collaborating with peers through a well oriented Online paging system.

Visit the Landing Page and Request early access to get the MVP ( there, click on "learn how to create a project" to see the workflow video ) https://glacial-hollows-15861.herokuapp.com/

I'm a real beginner in Saas development and this was one of my weekend projects that I decided to grow , I'm posting this to get the response on the idea so Criticism and suggestions in any aspect, are most welcome.

Cheers !

Hello ! Nice, just requested early access.
I hope to test and see how did you manage to tackle all the level of complexity in project management.

How long did you take from the idea to this page ?

Hey Gabriel ,thanx for the response

you should've got the access details by now , signup and create a sample project today. ( type dtu in search box to add some testing members and assign them tasks once you are directed to the project Dashboard). There are tons of things that users want me to add already , so I'd love to hear what features you'd like too.

actually this was a weekend project I did last month , but due to the recent COVID pandemic the rise in the use of online platforms has been crazy and since our college stresses a lot on projects and stuff to grade students I thought that this might be a great opportunity so I spent the last week creating the UI and some more backend to finally create the MVP and host it.

      waiting for your review
      cheers !

Nice, around 5 days in a row.

the backend work took about a week and the final MVP creation took another later, so around 11-12 days give or take.

Looks really nice! I like the design. I find the video a bit long, would be happier with a short video that outlines the product without having to sign up or anything.

Thanx for the response vlad86 , I’ll be creating a short intro video soon.

Maybe also pick a different song, it's subjective of course but it didn't really seem to fit.

        1. 1

Thanx , I'll keep that on mind while making the actual videos and intros.

Right on time, I was searching for proper product management tools. Signed up for early access. Good luck!

Great work! Project management is a tough problem to solve--especially because there are so many ways/methods to approach it.

Did you focus on one particular style of project management, or are you leaving things open enough to allow for multiple workflow styles?

      Hey Thanx for the response

currently I'm using a task based approach where the leader can assign tasks to the team members and they will then submit the responses in terms of well build pages ( containing all kind of information and stats about the assigned task ).

the leader will then review the responses and once approved the pages will be added to the actual project with the contributors name. this project will be visible to the mentors ( assigned to a project ) who can then review, guide or grade the entire thing based upon the work done and each student's contribution.

this is the basic workflow that students use to complete their school, college projects so in the MVP I'm only using that . But as the app grows and different communities join in I'll be making different project workflows as well , to suit one's requirement.

that's what I've decided , do you have any other good suggestions ?

      1. 2

Ah, see... you said something really important right there...

this is the basic workflow that students use...

You have a specific target audience in mind. I didn't get that when I went to the landing page (maybe I was scanning too quickly). If I were you, I'd laser focus on this being for Students and see if you can gain faster traction there by niching down.

        1. 2

          Thank you so much and

You are right , I have made the workflow student based but, my landing page , my social posts, everything reflects that anyone can use the app , I will surely look into this and try niching it down to students only first.

Just curious, what stack did you choose and why?

    1. 1

I used MERN stack ,I have experience of over a year with it so It was easy to use and quick to implement
