Launched my quiz/puzzle app but unable to retain users

Hi,

I launched my Quiz/Puzzle app approx two months before (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rtech.quizhut) on google play store, in which I have added approx 60k quiz questions in different categories including 15k audio question quiz. I have added a game zone also in which I added multiple logic games, but I am not understanding why users are not getting retained, they install the app, use for some time and uninstall it, the uninstall percentage is approx 65%, total installations are 1000+ but most of the users have uninstalled the app and I have only 250 users. I am doing google ads.
Can you please review this and let me know the mistake I am doing? I will be very grateful for this.

Thanks all

I noticed that your trailer video says that your Quiz/Puzzle app is avaialbe on IOS, is this not misleading? Maybe i am not searching correctly but i can't find it on the app store?

      Hi,

Actually when I made this video I had plan to launch this on IOS also, but after seeing the success rate on android, I just dropped the idea for sometime to launch on IOS.

    • could not understand why I need to sign up. You should move that request to later stage, at a point a user is incentivized to do so
    • I felt overwhelmed by the amount of things available. too much is sometimes confusing
    • could not feel like I have a goal playing these games. No big incentives as a player
    • not much consistency in the ui between games. So got tired quickly.
    • some games requiring objects displacement. It was not great experience (responsiveness, accuracy, ergonomy). How about just a touch interaction?

Sorry for the blunt feedback, but in overall, the lack of goal, the not super xp and the lack of fun made me immediately want to uninstall

an idea: instead of drowning the user with a massive amount of possibilities, how about directing the choice of the games? think a road, you collect coins, but each time you have to solve a puzzld to move fwd.

Ok, You mean initially I should keep locked the game and ask user to earn coin by using other parts of the App, and use those coins to unlock that game? this is cool Idea, I am working on a new logic game, Probably will update that in 1 or 2 week. I will try your suggested approach. Sorry If I understood it wrong.
        Thanks

yes, it could be in the form of locking as you suggest or something like in braindom where the puzzles are pushed one after the other by order of difficulty.
In general, you need to implement something that motivates users to play again in form of rewards, ranking,...

      1. Signup is needed because on each completion of game or puzzle, we need to record user progress.
      2. Agree, I have disabled some component just now,I will try to reduce more.
      3. I have a feature in my app by which you can convert your coins in to cash, but currently disabled that feature, I will think about your point and will work on it.
      4. Agree, each game is separate components with its own scoring and leadership board but I will work on it and will bring the consistency.
      5. I will work on it.

Thank you very much for giving time and your valuable feedback. I will definitely work on your suggestion.
      Thanks Again.
