Launched my SaaS App! How Do You Manage Billing With a Free Trial?

For those other people here with SaaS systems, how do you manage billing with a free trial? Have you found more success with taking the card details and creating the subscription after the user has had a chance to try the system or do you prefer having the user subscribe beforehand and allow them to cancel during the trial? Just super curious!
We prefer no CC free trials, especially in the beginning.
The million dollar question!
You'll obviously get more leads without a paywall, but a large number of them may be tire-kickers. The paywall will help you to qualify leads who are more likely to purchase from you.
The best solution is to try both and see what works best for you.
