I launched on PH and in 10 mins I got 9 profiles messaging me for a promotion ranging from $50 - $1000 some even with guarantee of 100 upvotes.
I have $0 ad spend planned so had to decline all of them, but makes you wonder how many PH products are completely organic

Yup, exactly my worry aswell. Im not sure how this works but did a basic search and PH does have a way if users are manipulating the platform but many of these profiles had 60k, 100k followers so it would be organic in some way its just that its basically influencer marketing for the launch
PH products are completely rigged i remember once i got messages on my linkedin saying buy our promotion or we will somehow report your product and downreach you so they did lol im never promoting my PH launch on linkedin
Crap! This is even worse! You better buy votes from us, otherwise we will get you down voted and ruin your launch.
Did you report those guys to PH? I am hoping that PH has at least some basic checks to prevent cheating during the voting process.
i tried reporting nothing worked i got like my first 20 upvotes like in an hour and was leading and after i got the message it got stuck on 20 no more upvotes for rest of the day i tried reporting nothing helped
Thats bad, I agree. I think theres definitely some genuine launches but it also has its downsides. I guess with any platform reaching that level of scale there will always be those who exploit it. I got 23 new signups though
This sounds really bad, thanks for the headsup, I plan to do my PH launch in the coming months. I guess that we can't attach too much importance to a PH launch - just keep focusing and building for our users.
Well I didnt use any of the paid collaborators but still got #7 and 100+ upvotes.
brought around 25+ users within the first 12 hours of launch. I guess they only help you stay up on the leaderboard. But if the goal is to get some users you dont need the paid collabs. (my goal was to get users not rank #3 on PH)

Yes, I am surprised. I guess it because I launched on a Friday. Everyone wants to launch on Monday so they can compete for Product of the week gives them the whole week to gather upvotes. For me it was just about putting the product out there to just get some feedback
