Launched on Product Hunt

Hey team, after six months of optimisation we hit Product Hunt with SaaS Marketer today, feel free to check us out here.

A couple of thoughts on this now it's live and we're #4 on the front page:

1. It's good to get it out of the way

It's been weighing on my mind since we launched that it's something "you MUST do!" and I agree it's a good boost of traffic and feedback.

But it really doesn't have a bearing on the success of your project. Your project will succeed or fail based on the amount of value you produce for customers, not how many upvotes you land ;)

2. Maximise value of traffic

I echo Harry Dry's comments on optimising BEFORE the PH launch. I've spent the passed month tweaking email optin forms to maximise conversion without it being a horrendous experience.

Right now we are running:

• Exit intent popup
• Header form
• Inline form

All of these simply request optin for the biweekly SaaS growth case study. Combined these are converting approx. 12% of traffic.

We are halfway through the day and PH has sent just over 450 sessions which is therefore approx. 54 new people on the list :)

3. Get a .gif designed

It makes a massive difference ;)
