Launched OohSleep — a free AI sleep tracker PWA

Today I officially launched OohSleep, a free Progressive Web App for sleep tracking.

It uses AI to detect snoring, plays 8 ambient sleep sounds (rain, ocean, thunder, etc.), and offers 5 guided breathing exercises to help you fall asleep.

What makes it different:

  • No app store download — works in any browser

  • 100% private — all data stored locally on your device

  • Works fully offline

  • Free tier available, Premium at $14.99/year

I also submitted to Product Hunt (launching April 2), AlternativeTo, and SaaSHub today.

Next goals: Get first 100 users and first paying customer.

Try it here: https://oohsleep.com

Would love feedback from the IH community!

Love this Dongzihang privacy-first is such an

underrated angle in the sleep tech space.

The fact that all data stays local is a huge

differentiator most users don't realize how

much sleep apps harvest their data.

One thing that could really help you hit that

first 100 users faster your onboarding email

    sequence.

Most sleep apps lose new users in day 1-3 because

they don't guide them to their first "wow moment."

For OohSleep that wow moment is probably the first

time the AI detects snoring or the breathing

    exercise works.

If you get users there fast they stick.

We write exactly these kinds of onboarding emails

at ScaleWords happy to write you one FREE if

    you're interested.

Best of luck with Product Hunt launch! 🚀

Congrats on the launch! I love this naming haha. Quick question: when you share updates about OohSleep, do you post on just IH or adapt for Twitter/LinkedIn too? (asking because I built tool that handles the platform adaptation - running beta if useful)

Congratulations on launching, Dongzihang! I think the PWA aspect is clever — most people quit the sleep app when they get to the "download this 80MB app" and never come back.

Before your 100 user goal can be hit, one thing to consider is the way you're currently positioning what OohSleep does with regards to Tarin Snoring detection (AI) 8 Sounds and Breathing Exercises however you don’t indicate the key component that will convert readers to becoming users of your service…essentially you do not articulate clearly that all other sleep applications have secretly uploaded your most sensitive biometric data (private to you and unknown to you) to a data center outside of your control (and probably not mentioned in the TOS you never read).

This is the current loss in users that exists today…many of them don’t know that they were victimized.

If you mention this fact on your landing page before they leave, your conversion from free to paid will change drastically and you’ll have users choosing OohSleep because of their fear of losing something they presently have!

I audit the gap between “people have found my site, like it”, and “people convert”; if you want me to provide you with a detailed look at where your landing page is losing visitors, drop me a line at gauravgo[dot]framer[dot]website
