We started the company Quanten Media in August 2024. We got our first studio engagement in March 2025. we got to work with a few studios over the last year - and even worked on a couple of projects that have made it to the oscar considerations this year.
But the question that keeps coming up is, whether there was a way to capture structural issues with the story early on (in the pre production process) when it is much cheaper to fix them and thats where Quanten Arc comes in.
Trained on real audience data, the system analyses scripts and creates a visual narrative arc that filmmakers can use to tell how their story gets laid out. They can then compare them with genre benchmarks - with other films that have succeeded in the market - to see if it makes sense.
Last week, I had a call with a producer who was reviewing a family drama and thought that Act 1 of the film was really slow. we pulled the data of comparables (The Marriage Story for eg, which did really well) and look at how that film lays out Act 1 and noticed, that the new script under review, actually scores better. For a family drama to work, the first act does need to go slow, take the time to connect with audiences, build emotional bonds, so that when the issues come up in Act 2, they'll come along.
We might have saved that script - that's the kind of stories that makes us very excited for what we are building.
