Launched StackPicks — opinionated directory for OSS dev tools
Shipped this past week after 30 days of solo work. StackPicks is a curated directory of 165+ open-source developer tools — but unlike GitHub Trending or random "awesome lists," every repo has an 80-160 word curator take explaining when to use it AND when to skip it.
What kept frustrating me: I'd spend 3-4 hours picking a UI library because every directory ranks by stars. Stars tell you something has hype. They don't tell you if you should actually ship with it.
The bet: builders will pay for editorial judgment, not another scraping operation.
