It's taken me a while to get to the point where I've realised that product-led, digital businesses are the ones for me. But better late than never!
I've now launched my first web app (www.suitebooks.io) - a place to add all the books you read and talk about them with your friends.
I was sick of reading an awesome book, and having no one to talk to about it (no one likes a person talking about the latest book they've read if they haven't read it - "ok then book wanker" is what I'd normally get in response).
So I'm building a community through the app to encourage readers of all levels to add their books and communicate. If you read 100 books a year, you're absolutely encouraged to join. And if you read 1 book a year, you're just as welcome.
If anyone cares for how I got to this point, I've written a bit of a how and why I'm building this. I'll be documenting this journey over the coming weeks and months.

If not, thanks for your time and please connect with me on Suite! I love seeing what everyone is reading.
Love the concept of STRAVA for book readers. How's it going?
Congrats on your launch! I remember I had once a sort of book club with some close friends, we would each read one book and then try to "sell" the others the story to convince them to read what we read if we liked it.
I really like the concept, but I wonder if I haven't seen recently a couple of similar apps. What do you think of the competition you're facing?
Thanks. Yeah there are a bunch of apps out there (some big, some new) doing versions of this. There were none that centred the approach around connecting with each other though, which I thought was a really big gap. I'm hoping this connection and a bit of support will lead a lot of 'non-readers' turn into 'readers.'
