Launched the first digital platform to find South Asian wedding vendors
Super excited after months of hard work building out a brand identity, color palette, logo(!) and new search/explore interface, I launched Brown Bride last week!
It's a vendor directory to find South Asian wedding vendors - I have a long-term growth plan to add on bookings and eventually an eCommerce store (similar to Etsy but specific to the South Asian niche).
This is the first time I've started my own business and I never realized how difficult even something as "simple" as an online vendor directory could get this complicated. I've also learned to respect the level of effort required in marketing, and its importance to growth.
In spite of all the challenges, launching a business feels like a drug I can't get enough of! If there are any soon to be couples within the South Asian community, please do check out our site. I'd love your feedback!
