After three months of evenings and weekends, I shipped TimezonePair — a free utility for anyone scheduling meetings across time zones.
The problem. Every async team I've worked in lost an hour or two per month to "wait, what time is that for you?" — or worse, to a calendar invite that quietly drifted by an hour after a DST flip. Existing tools either tell you the time somewhere (world clocks) or book the meeting after you've already figured out when (Calendly). Nothing sat cleanly in the middle.
The tool. Pick any two of 300 cities. Two clocks tick in sync. A 24-hour ribbon paints day and night and glows where business hours overlap. Scrub a slider, lock a time, hit Add to Calendar — a clean .ics drops into Google/Outlook/Apple with the right zone attached. Or share a URL that round-trips the full meeting state so the other side opens the same view.
The build. Next 16 App Router, fully static where possible. 90,000 city-pair pages pre-rendered with ISR daily. No tracking, no sign-up, no ads. Lighthouse 97–100 desktop, 94 mobile. Solo build, shipped 2026-04-22.
Early signal. Some queries already ranking page-1 in GSC within 3 days of launch. Now stacking authority — directories, Awesome lists, embed widget next.
The 90,000 pre-rendered city-pair pages are a smart programmatic SEO play. Page-1 rankings in 3 days means the query surface has low domain authority competition — city + city + timezone combinations are exactly the long-tail clusters that fully static generation dominates before anyone notices.
The embed widget is probably your highest-leverage next move. Every integration on a productivity blog or async team guide is a backlink you don't have to manually chase. That's where free utility traffic starts compounding into authority you can actually use later.
What's the plan once authority stacks? Keep it permanently free and use the traffic as a funnel, or is there a monetization layer in mind?
Outstanding and good work keep sharing
It is a total headache when you think you have a meeting locked in only to realize a DST shift completely messed up the invite for the other person.
The real advantage here is using ISR to pre-render those 90,000 city pairs because it makes the tool feel instant compared to heavy calendar apps that lag while loading time data.
How are you planning to handle the SEO side for specific city-pair keywords to keep that early GSC momentum going?
