Launched too early on Product Hunt - What should I do?
About three weeks ago, I launched my new product on Product Hunt. It did alright for my first product, and I was encouraged to keep building it.
About a day after launching, I realized that launching on Product Hunt at the time was a HUGE mistake. The landing page needed work, my Terms of Service/Privacy Policy made no sense, and the whole product wasn't ready for the world to see.
I closed down the site, and went back to work. I reopened https://turbolink.io today, and I believe it is ready for the world.
However, I already launched on Product Hunt. What is the next best way to share my product with the world and grow it successfully?
You can relaunch on Product Hunt in 6 months if there are major updates in your product. Another way would be to totally rebrand your product and go with a new account/domain, I would not suggest doing this.
PH is not the magic solution, so working on everything else, focusing on SEO, organic traffic, growth hacking: post your product to places where people seek a solution like yours (forums, stackoverflow, social media), improving the product, launching in other platforms, preparing for the next PH launch 1 month in advance is probably optimal.
