Launched Vocabloot: snap it, learn it, then play with it

Vocabloot demo: snap an object, get the word, save it with the photo

Quick update from the founder side. Vocabloot is live on both the App Store and Google Play, free to download.

Two things I leaned into hard: making practice actually fun, and being straight about privacy.

Fun: once you've captured enough words you unlock small games built from your own captures. Eight of them so far. Saved words also turn into stickers you can send to WhatsApp, and there's a browser tool that turns six of your words into a short clip worth posting. Practice ends up feeling like play rather than a chore.

Vocabloot on iPhone: camera, wordbook, games, word detail with audio and examples, stickers

Privacy: I don't store your photos on any server, analytics are opt-in, and your wordbook exports to a file you keep instead of something locked into my backend.

It covers 10 languages right now. It's my second app, I shipped PoseStudio back in July. Free tier is 6 snaps day one then 2 a day, Premium unlocks unlimited for $7.99/month or $19.99 per year. The daily cap is a cost thing, every snap is a vision API call I pay for.

Feedback on either the games or the pricing is welcome.

The games seem like the retention hook.

Are users coming back mainly for vocabulary practice, or for the games built from their own words?
