Hey IH 👋
I’ve been working solo on a hardware product called MeasureMate, and I’m finally getting closer to launching. The idea is simple: it helps people visualize real-world measurements (like 1x1 meters or 2x3 feet) by projecting them directly onto walls or floors — so you can see exactly how much space something would take up before you commit.
It’s not just about measuring — it’s about seeing.
Imagine trying to hang a set of picture frames and wondering how it’ll actually look once it’s up. Or you’re thinking of placing a small table in the hallway but don’t know if it’ll feel too cramped. MeasureMate lets you project the actual size onto your wall or floor — helping you make confident decisions before you drill, buy, or rearrange anything.

I’ve filed a provisional patent and I’m now working on prototyping and possibly preparing for a Kickstarter campaign.
Here’s what I’d love from the community:
Real feedback on the idea, not just “cool” (unless you really mean it 😉) but honest thoughts on what makes sense, what doesn’t, and how it could be better
Tips or advice from anyone who’s gone through hardware, prototyping, or crowdfunding
Motivation & connection — working solo is tough, and I’d love to find someone to partner with (even informally at first) just to help push things forward, share the journey, or stay accountable
This is my first real attempt to bring a product to life, and I’m all in. If anything here resonates with you, I’d genuinely love to hear from you — drop a comment or DM if you’re up for it.
Thanks for reading — proud to be part of this community! 👏
really cool idea - the “seeing before committing” concept makes a lot of sense, especially for home layout decisions.
if you were thinking about Kickstarter, one thing that helped a few founders i’ve worked with is analyzing past campaigns before launching - looking at pricing, reward tiers, launch timing, and messaging patterns that actually converted.
currently there are some tools that can help generate a rough launch strategy based on similar campaigns. if you’re experimenting with Crowdfunding, i’d be happy to share one i’ve been working on and get your thoughts on whether it’s useful.
also curious - would yo have planned to validate demand before Kickstarter (email list, waitlist, ads, etc.), or were you thinking of testing directly on the platform?
I really like the idea behind MeasureMate! IMO It solves a real problem by letting people see how something fits before committing, and I am excited to see how the prototype and Kickstarter progress.
You can try validating demand by running a small test budget on Google or Facebook ads and tracking CPC and email signups per dollar.
Thanks so much!
I really appreciate the encouragement, That’s exactly the problem I’m trying to solve: helping people see how something fits before committing, whether it’s hanging a picture or laying out a room.
I really like your suggestion about testing with a small ad budget Tracking CPC.
And I will look into it.
Appreciate the support!
Hi!
I checked out your page and really like the product idea. A year ago, I moved in with my husband and we’ve been focusing on our businesses, so we still have some space in our apartment that could be really useful for experimenting with interior design.
Here are some recommendations:
In the medium term, once the project is validated, consider improving the design to make it more appealing and clearly convey the value proposition.
Esteem: For ourselves and others.
Self-actualization: Reaching our full potential.
This should be reflected in your communication and marketing.
Visual content: The AI video looks great, but if the project develops further, incorporating real people can make it more personal and relatable.
Strategic partnerships: Consider collaborations with construction companies, furniture brands, or tool marketplaces.
International pricing: If you plan to export, adjust prices according to each country.
Targeted marketing: Whether through ads, SEO, personal branding, or other strategies, focus on people who value their time and have the budget to invest in their home’s aesthetics.
I hope you find a partner with vision, budget, management skills, and marketing knowledge. Make a good deal—the idea truly has a lot of potential.
Hi
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my page and share such thoughtful, detailed feedback, I really appreciate it. I’m glad to hear the product idea resonated with you, and your suggestions are spot-on.
I especially like your points about refining the landing page for early validation, positioning the product in the context of esteem and self-actualization, and eventually incorporating more personal, human elements into the visuals. Your ideas about strategic partnerships and targeted marketing also align perfectly with the direction I’m aiming for as this moves forward.
It’s clear you have a great eye for both the business and creative sides.
Thanks again for your encouragement and insights, it really means a lot at this stage.
Best regards,
Chaim
