Launching a Podcast Soon
Hey @csallen, I love that this is the first group topic!
My friend Chris and I have been recording episodes of our podcast to be released soon. We have done 7 interviews already and a handful are lined up for the near future. We're not officially announcing and releasing it until we have 10 episodes ready, but look out for this soon. We interview proven entrepreneurs about new business ideas they have and are willing to share with the audience. Listeners are encouraged to get started with the idea that they share and we come up with actions they can take to do so. We're arranging it so the most eager listeners may have a chance at a mentorship or partnership relationship with our guests.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Couple of reasons... many podcasts fail after 7 or 10 episodes (maybe because it's easy to get started and hard to keep going?) We thought it would be nice to release a few on the first day (we did 3) to give a variety for listeners and something to explore if they already liked one episode. We also got that advice of releasing three at once from a friend who podcasts. We also wanted to get over the threshold of 10 to give us momentum and breathing room as we continue to record.
Another advantage of recording 10 before release is that we have 10 places to cross promote when we launch instead of just 1. Even though the episodes of the other guests aren't posted yet they might be interested in giving a shout out on social media on launch day.

I'm curious as well. Is it to have a backlog of episodes to launch with? Courtland any thoughts on this? If you're starting out with a new podcast, what would you do?
Probably record 2-3 episodes in advance, launch them all at the same time, then try to be super consistent after that. I think it's nice to launch with a small backlog, but no point in going overboard.
