I built this adaptive TDEE calculator to fix the user-input bottleneck common in fitness apps. Instead of making users guess between four vague activity checkboxes, the frontend integrates an AI parsing layer that translates natural language descriptions of daily movement into high-precision inputs.
Once those variables are parsed, they are processed through exact, deterministic mathematical formulas derived from peer-reviewed nutritional and metabolic science. The logic prioritizes lean body mass over raw scale weight, models ongoing metabolic adaptation, and dynamically accounts for unique systemic variables like the energetic cost of regular plasma donation. The backend is completely lightweight, running on a minimal Node.js server.
The site is fully live at https://www.thetdee.com/. I am launching it today to gather direct feedback on the core calculation logic and UI layout. Let me know what you think.
