Launching an idea to reduce development cost by outsourcing

Hi fellow indiehackers!

I just launched https://devs.mu/ with a friend.
My previous two ideas have failed but may be "third time is the charm"?

Devs.mu is a reverse job board based on https://github.com/joemasilotti/railsdevs.com to hire Mauritian Software developers.

A few reasons to hire with us:

  • Junior engineers start at 500$ per month usually (Mauritian rate)
  • Freelancers are also available if 1. is not an option.
  • Mauritians speak both English and French
  • We get around 2 new developers per day and aim to have at least 300 devs by end of year.
  • We have 50 devs right now, 10 profiles but we will let you advertise by email marketing to reach all 50 devs.

If you sign up as a business and mention "indiehacker" I will give you free access (after vetting you are real of course).

And if anyone would like to partner, you can comment or reach out on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/company/102562775/

Something else worth mentioning is that we got accepted in AWS Activate, which gave us 1000 USD credits. I think this would be super helpful for other indie hackers. However, you need to have a company registered. We applied twice and got rejected. Then the third time, we used the contact form and were able to have a conversation to prove that the business was real.

Anyway, comment if you have any question :D
