Hey Indies! π
Iβm a freelance app developer, and in March 2020 I began creating my own indie app named Focused Work, which is a flexible Focus Timer that helps people structure their time effectively.
I made the effort to journal every single day about what I was working on, the challenges I faced along the way, and hoped to convert it into a series of articles documenting my journey in-depth.
Today I published the final article in the 14-part series, named Launching an Indie App!
My aim was to be super transparent about the daily grind, and how I progressed from the initial idea, to design, development, beta testing, marketing, pricing, and launching on the App Store over the 40 weeks.
I think folks here may find it an insightful read, and might serve as a helpful anchor for up-and-coming indies. Many people have reached out to share positive feedback, that it'd be remiss of me not to mention it here.
If anything piques your interest, I'm all ears below!
Enjoy π

Hope you enjoy the read as well, deciding to build in public well before I was able to put something in the hands of others was one of the best decisions I made.
