What makes Cargoship's Model Store stand out from other AI-model providers? How do you ensure that the models you provide are of high quality?
Other vendors like Huggingface focus on ML engineers. If you are familiar with the tooling and are willing to try some models, you will find everything you need there. But if you're a web developer not familiar with the Python/Pytorch/.. stack and don't know how to run the models and what are good quality indicators, you'll get lost and frustrated very quickly. We package all the models we curate into an easy-to-use API and make them available as open source docker containers.
We compare every model choice we make with other similar models and choose the one that performs best, or even publish two models (e.g. a small and a large one) and suggest to the user when to use which one.
