We started DocsHound to fix a simple but frustrating problem: AI answers fall flat when there’s no quality information behind them. And the people who do have the right knowledge—usually the ones building the product—rarely have the time (or desire) to keep documentation up to date. Everyone agrees that capturing this info is important… but actually doing it? It’s a time sink most teams avoid.
DocsHound flips that. Instead of forcing experts to write docs, FAQs, or tutorials manually, they just explain something once—talk it through naturally—and DocsHound turns that into polished documentation and an AI assistant that can instantly answer questions about it. It takes less time than recording a Loom.
We’re live. Would love your feedback.
Love the idea and execution - really smooth onboarding, slick website which immediately solves a need I have. Very nice work!
Some product feedback:
I was recording a demo and got cut off - so assume there's a limit (on just the free plan?) - was slightly annoying, so maybe worth flagging at the start of a recording?
Some screenshots contain loading indicators or not-fully-loaded UI - minor but would need a quick change before publishing
Some of the screenshots / instructions are just incorrect - I wonder about adding instructions for people giving a demo to align better with your model prompts? e.g. "Use simple sentences" or similar
Follow-up changes - would be great for just telling the product what is incorrect or needs work, and have it iterate (the refine with AI feature feels like a standard text improvement flow, not based on the wider transcript)
Mainly focused on the create workflow of course as I think the power of creating the concrete guides is a very strong use-case - the bot is handy, but less useful in the short term than the docs.
Other use cases which would be awesome to see:
Release notes for my product - can I just walk through the recent changes and have exciting release notes created?
Video - embed the video used as source? Or create videos off the back of it?
Follow-up questions - can you fill in gaps in your knowledge before generating content?
Support request cycle - agent sends a request to a product team/dev to explain some concept or feature, turns into a bespoke guide for a customer
Keep up the great work!
Wow, I really appreciate the time you took to share all that feedback - super helpful!
Cut-off during recording - Yes, there’s a 5-minute limit. Looks like we need to do a better job flagging that upfront. Thanks for catching that!
Screenshots with loading indicators - Some images take longer to process; we’re working on splitting the process to make it faster. I’ll double-check to make sure everything is running as expected.
Screenshot/instruction accuracy & instant feedback - Absolutely. We want to extend the default generation flow to include some real-time feedback before finalizing the doc. Great idea.
On your feature suggestions:
Release notes generation - We're working on that right now.
Video embedding and video creation - Also in progress.
Follow-up questions and support request cycle - We actually have a form of this already. For paid accounts, we send weekly feedback emails that analyze chatbot questions and guide content, recommending new articles for gaps that we detect.
Such an interesting idea, it seems to solve a real pain point.
Appreciate the feedback!
I hope so! Good docs are important for any online / digital product - they build trust, look professional, and even work as additional marketing. Plus, we optimize for speed and SEO, so it’s great for long-tail traffic.
On top of that, you get a powerful chatbot that can raise tickets directly in your system. We also include an MCP server, so if you’re into no-code tools like N8N, you can even build out or integrate with custom ticketing workflows
Do you have a Twitter account by any chance?
Working on it :)
This is brilliant
Thanks, really glad you like it!
really nice idea! this is super useful for enterprise, both for internal Q&A/training and for customer support
i don't want to click to watch a long video. i wish the hero section was a little more clear about how it got the info
Thanks! Yeah, both internal and external use cases are definitely key for us.
And I totally agree with the hero section feedback. The product grew fast, and we're still figuring out the best way to deliver that message - clear but not too broad or lengthy. We're experimenting right now to get it right.
The landing page is looking great. I like the video as well! Feel free to submit your product to Huzzler.so . It's a platform for founders to connect and give feedback, created by my brother and I.
Thank you, we will try submitting soon and the site looks great!
Awesome! Looking forward to seeing you on Huzzler 😉
Your product seems good, I'm QA Engineer I can give you detailed review on your products that improves more user experience. If you need QA of your product. You can contact with me
Thanks for the offer! I appreciate the interest. I’ll definitely keep you in mind if we need external QA support.
Looks cool over all. Would prefer if there was more info on the homepage about what types of existing data sources it can pull from.
Also, the fact that the homepage video looped and started over was a little jarring. It was great to have a quick video though.
Thanks for the feedback! We're planning to add more integrations soon and will include more detail on the data sources we support.
As for the video on the website, we're going to remove the looping and slow down the thumbnail to make it smoother.
Appreciate the insights!
