Over the past few months I've been building Ervian, a compliance and audit-readiness platform for growing businesses.
The goal is simple: help businesses track obligations, organize evidence, manage policies, and stay audit-ready without relying on spreadsheets and scattered documents.
We're still early and actively looking for feedback as we prepare for launch.
If you've dealt with compliance, audits, privacy requirements, or regulatory deadlines, I'd love to hear what the most frustrating part of the process has been.
One thing I'd be careful with:
The challenge may not be helping businesses stay compliant.
It may be identifying which moment makes them decide they can no longer afford to manage compliance the old way.
Those sound similar, but they tend to lead to very different product and customer decisions.
I wouldn't make that call casually this early.
That's a really good point.
I've been focusing on the compliance-management problem itself, but you're right that the more important question may be what specific event or pain point causes businesses to stop relying on spreadsheets, calendars, consultants, or other manual processes and start looking for a dedicated solution.
I'm still validating that. My goal with the early conversations and beta testing is to better understand those trigger moments and whether they're related to audits, customer requirements, growing complexity, missed deadlines, consultant costs, or something else entirely.
Appreciate the perspective.
Possibly.
The reason I'd still be careful is that I don't think the interesting part is which trigger ends up winning.
I think there's a bigger decision sitting underneath that question.
I wouldn't try to unpack that properly in a thread.
If you're curious, drop your email and I'll send over the tighter version.
