But here’s the key: “link in bio” is a very crowded space. Your differentiation needs to be obvious in seconds.
What’s interesting here isn’t just links — it’s the Build Log. That’s harder to replicate.
I’d double down on:
Real profile examples (make it aspirational)
Turning the Build Log into a habit (not just a showcase)
Visible metrics (progress, streaks, activity)
If it becomes more than “just another linktree” and actually helps people build in public consistently, it has much stronger potential.

What you've built in 2 months solo is genuinely impressive — and the fact that you've documented the whole journey here on IH makes the launch hit differently. We've watched this thing go from idea to #1 on the Build Board to first paying user. That arc matters.
The link-in-bio space is crowded but you found the angle nobody else was owning — builders who ship. A build log built into your profile page is such an obvious idea in hindsight that I'm annoyed nobody did it sooner.
We're 17 apps into our own journey at MRVL and the IH community has been one of the few places where posting your real numbers and real struggles doesn't feel weird. Tools like IndieDeck that make that culture more visible are exactly what this ecosystem needs.

Honestly, a huge part of IndieDeck exists because of the Indie Hackers community itself. Watching people openly share launches, failures, revenue milestones, experiments, and progress made me realize there should be a better way to showcase that entire journey publicly.
And yeah, the “builders who actually ship” angle felt weirdly underserved for such a long time. Most tools were optimized for creators or influencers, but not really for founders juggling products, launches, experiments, and build logs all at once.

Launch went better than I expected honestly. Biggest lesson was that Product Hunt rewards momentum and community way more than just showing up with a polished product on launch day.
Most of the traction came from consistently sharing the IndieDeck journey publicly before the launch even happened. By the time launch day arrived, people already understood the product and wanted to support it.
Also learned that clarity matters a ton. Getting traffic is one thing, but people still need to instantly understand what your product does after the click.

this is interesting because it’s not really a “link in bio” problem. It’s a context problem, people don’t trust a list of links- they want to understand what you actually built and why it matters. Most tools stop at aggregation, this is trying to add meaning on top

And yeah, interestingly the build log + verified revenue badges are probably the two features people mention the most right now. I think it’s because they add context and credibility instantly instead of just showing another static profile page.
A lot of founders already share progress publicly across Twitter, GitHub, Product Hunt, screenshots, etc. IndieDeck just tries to bring all of that into one structured place where people can quickly understand what you’re building and whether you actually ship consistently.
