Launching my first side project
Hey everyone,
I'm excited to announce I'm launching my first-ever MVP in March 2023!
Coming from a marketing background, I'm also building the entire project from beginning to end.
I've tried taking multiple courses to learn how to program but could never stick with it. So I'm switching to building an actual project versus watching tutorial videos.
Now, to introduce my project:
Remote Marketing Jobs - A niche job board for Remote Marketing positions.
I've been working remotely since 2019 and have fallen in love with being location independent. Some days I'll work from my home office, a coffee shop, a coworking space, or working from a new city altogether. The ability to move to new sceneries allows for creative thinking and productivity.
So I'm building RMJ to help more people experience the benefits of remote work, or simply help you find a company that is right for you.
Current status:
I've launched a Waitlist landing page to begin gathering remote job seekers.
While building the job board, I'm also sending weekly job alerts to help subscribers start their job search now.
Also, the job board will be built in Ruby on Rails.

Have you used Rails for a long time? I used it a few years ago but it has since had 2 major versions and I'm not sure how it compares these days.
I have not tbh. I'm using this as my way to really dive into it. I've tried learning JS and for some reason, I had a hard time with it.
Plus a lot have said RoR is good for indiehackers and it's a tried & true tech. I just want to build something that works efficiently.
Its definitely a great tool for getting something standard up and running. I've had difficulty as projects get to larger dev team sizes (15+) but for an indiehacker project I would recommend!

Cool stuff! Love your landing page, simple but clean and unique imo.
I am not a marketer by experience, but I am my side project's marketer, so it's cool to see another in this space here.
My only suggestion with the landing page is the logo doesn't really match the feel of the rest of the page since it looks 3d-ish and the page itself doesn't have those elements.
