Launching on Product Hunt tomorrow

After weeks of building, Retry is launching on Product Hunt tomorrow. It's a habit tracker that treats every missed day as a clue instead of a guilt trip — log your check-ins, and after 7 days it shows you the pattern behind why you actually fail (not just that you did).

Would love any support or feedback when it goes live tomorrow — and happy to answer questions about how it's built in the meantime!

The interesting opportunity isn't tracking habits—it's helping people understand the conditions that consistently lead them to break one. I'd keep validating whether users stay because Retry records their streaks or because the failure patterns become actionable enough to change future behavior. That's a much stronger value proposition.

Really sharp point, thank you. Right now the streak/case-file progress is basically the reward loop — check in, and a piece of the mystery unlocks. But you're right that it doesn't yet do anything with why someone breaks a streak.

I've been thinking about turning failure patterns into actual "clues" instead of just resetting progress — e.g. surfacing that someone tends to skip on Tuesdays, or that a 3-day gap usually predicts a full drop-off. Curious what you had in mind — were you picturing something more like a personal insight/report, or clues woven directly into the case narrative?

        Appreciate the thoughtful response.

The way you're thinking about the gap between tracking behavior and understanding behavior is the interesting part here.

Would be good to see how users respond as you explore it further.
