Launching OpenScout - Get Leads from conversations

Hey IH,

I'm Piyush (PD), solo founder. I've been building side projects for a while, and OpenScout is the one I'm going all-in on. I have been a lurker on this platform for such a long time that it feels surreal that I am not on the other side, bringing my product out in the world. I have not launched it yet on my socials and this is the first post that I thought I should be doing because I’m truly indebted to the community here.

Now coming back to OpenScout and why I chose to build it?

Most founders miss 90% of the conversations happening about their product category online. Someone asks "what's the best tool for X?" on Reddit, a competitor gets mentioned on Hacker News, a potential customer tweets about their frustration and you never see it.

OpenScout fixes this. We analyze your product, understand your customers and competitors and then surface high-value opportunities. Recommendation threads, buying signals, competitor complaints. OpenScout also drafts platform-appropriate replies so you can engage while the conversation is still warm.

You paste your URL. AI analyzes your brand and figures out which subreddits to monitor, what keywords to track. Then it scouts Reddit, Hacker News, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn on a schedule.

The part that actually makes it usable: every mention gets scored 0-100 by AI based on how relevant it is to your product. So instead of scrolling through 200 posts where 80% are noise, you see the 15-20 posts that are genuine buying signals. Someone asking "what tool should I use for X?" or complaining about a competitor.

It also drafts replies per platform. HN replies are technical and no-BS. Reddit is conversational. LinkedIn is professional. Twitter is short. You edit and post yourself. We have a service layer too where we provide services to the founders who are busy. We take care of posting content on their behalf effectively acting like a social media team on demand. We fundamentally believe that sending AI slop replies harm your brand than grow it. We take lot of efforts in ensuring that content is actually tailer made for each post and adds value.

My goal: hit $10K MRR within 3 months. Ambitious? Yeah. But I'd rather aim high and land at $5K than play it safe and settle for less.

If you're manually searching Reddit, Linkedin Twitter every morning for people talking about your product, I built this for you. 3-day free trial, no credit card. Would love honest feedback.
