Launching PixTrim - fast, privacy-friendly image compressor & converter (AVIF/HEIC/WebP)
I built PixTrim to simplify common image processing tasks: compress, convert, resize, crop, flip, rotate - without ads, tracking or login. It supports modern formats (AVIF, HEIC, WebP) as well as JPEG/PNG, and handles practical details like automatically rotating EXIF data to ensure thumbnails don't end up sideways.
Why: existing tools felt slow or bloated, I wanted something minimal and predictable.
Tech: Go + libvips backend, optimized for speed and memory efficiency.
Who it’s for: devs, designers, bloggers - anyone who needs quick, high-quality results.
Current status: pre-revenue, gathering feedback.
Roadmap: presets, simple batch, metadata controls.
