Launching Research Tailor!

Hi friends!

Thousands of research papers get published every day, yet their insights are inaccessible to regular people. Even if you're an expert in your field, it takes forever to sift through the noise and find the latest research you care about.

To make it easy for anyone to track the latest research relevant to them, I created Research Tailor (https://researchtailor.org). Just sign up, define your research interests in plain English, and hit save to create your own custom research reports. Research Tailor will then automatically email you relevant research papers and tailored insights every Monday and Thursday. You can see an example of a user's automatically generated email report below (this user was interested in how AI could be used in early cancer prediction):

Currently, I'm pulling in papers from arXiv, bioRxiv, and medRxiv. I'm working on adding PubMed papers as well, since people in the medical field are so busy yet still have to stay on top of the latest research in their field. I chose to focus on pre-print websites initially because the best way to track the cutting edge in fast-moving fields, like AI, is to see what is being posted in pre-print.

Here are some additional features I'm looking to add:

• Add buttons next to each paper in a user's email report that allows them to easily save papers to Zotero or EndNote

• Create a service that allows users to easily open and interact with their top papers directly in NotebookLM.

If anyone in the community is interested, I would be super grateful for any feedback! Please let me know if you'd find something like this useful. In particular, I'd appreciate feedback on the email report UI and how well the app performs at ranking papers relevant to your interests. I would also be interested in any additional features or data sources you would want me to add.

I currently have 15 users, so hopefully getting a lot more doesn't cause the app to crash...
