Launching TextConciergeAI - AI-powered family calendar via SMS (no app needed!)

Hey IndieHackers!

Launching TextConcierge.ai and excited to share it with this community.

It stemmed from a personal problem where we were juggling multiple calendars. And grandparents struggle with technology. Traditional calendar apps require everyone to download, sign up, and remember to check yet another app.

Our solution TextConcierge.ai is a shared family calendar that works entirely through SMS. No apps to download, no accounts to create for family members. Just text your plans naturally, and our AI organizes everything.

How it works:

  1. Sign up for the beta invite at textconcierge.ai
  2. Add family members (just their phone numbers)
  3. Text your plans naturally: "Soccer practice Tuesday 4pm"
  4. AI confirms and adds to shared calendar
  5. Family members can get a daily summary and ask via SMS anytime

Tech Stack:

  • Google Gemini for natural language understanding
  • twilio for messaging
  • backend: python + supabase

Current Status:

  • Handful of beta families actively using it

Ask for the community:

  • how to market to community that doesn't like technology :)?

Check it out at textconcierge.ai - would love your feedback!

Happy to answer any questions about the tech, business model, or our journey building this!

Love the shared family calendar that works entirely over SMS (no apps/signups). That removes the biggest adoption blocker for grandparents and busy parents, and the “text naturally → AI organizes” flow is perfect for real life.

    For non-tech go-to-market, I’d try three super-practical moves:

School/coach packs: a one-pager with “copy/paste” texts (e.g., “Soccer practice Tue 4pm”) that PTA leaders and coaches can drop in WhatsApp groups.

Fridge magnet + QR: family joins by texting a number; magnet = reminder in the kitchen.

Weekly digest habit: a simple “Sunday summary” opt-in so the whole household sees the plan without opening anything.

Curious: do you plan Google/Apple Calendar sync for the organizers (view on phone, add from SMS), and what’s your key activation; first event added by a second family member, first week of summaries, or a conflict auto-resolved?

P.S. I’m with Buzz; we build conversion-focused Webflow/Shopify sites and pragmatic SEO for launches. Happy to share a one-page local GTM checklist if useful.

    Is there a calendar integration?
