Launching WatchWith.tv

WatchWith.tv solves a problem anyone with multiple streaming subscriptions knows all too well: keeping track of what you want to watch and figuring out where you can actually watch it.

The app lets you search for TV shows and movies, add them to personalized watchlists, and instantly see which streaming providers have them available. But it goes beyond a simple list. You can create multiple lists for different moods or genres. You can share your lists with friends, family, or a partner. And, if you want, they can add to the list too, creating a collaborative queue you both contribute to. And when shows you've already watched release new episodes, WatchWith alerts you so you never miss a new season.

Why Create WatchWith?

It started as a personal project to make it easier to remember and decide what to watch with my wife. I originally tracked our shared list in a Google Sheet, but that had a few problems: the iPhone interface to a Google Sheet is clunky for editing, I never knew where to watch the items on my list, and I was never really sure when new seasons came out.

So I decided to build this application to address those issues. And while I was at it, I also built in sharing capabilities, so we both easily share our list.

Why is WatchWith Free?

As a relatively simple B2C application, I don't pretend that this will revolutionize how people track what they want to watch. But it does make that easier, and I wanted to share it with others.

My goal is to gain users on the application. If I eventually get enough users, I will look for sponsorship deals or non-distracting advertising to gain some side income from this project.

But until then, it is completely free! Give it a try at https://watchwith.tv
