Leap of faith

It has now been 3 months since I left my Lead Dev job at the great company that is Partoo to work full time on my own project.
If you have ever considered taking that leap, or if you are just curious about what I've been up to, here is what happened:

My goal for my first three months of working on BuzzRank was to build strong foundations for the app and to find power users willing to give me good feedback regularly.

And it is pretty much what I have been doing ! I'm quite proud of what I have built, I'm heavily relying on fully managed solutions to save me as much time as possible, limit the risk for errors, make my app super fast and sturdy, and my processes simple and reliable.
The app is far from finished, but it is now ready to be used, and I shared it once on Reddit last week. I got a small traction of 49 new users trying the app. Amongst them, 3 spontaneously went out of their way to give me feedback, and accepted to be interviewed.

So I basically am inlined with my initial goal! BuzzRank now has great foundations, and a couple of power users.
And by working toward this goal, I have learned much more in 3 months than I could have imagined! I'm a better Dev, I improved on my product management and design skills. I have been learning about useful concepts like SEO, or how to grow a community...

Oh, and I also managed to free up the time I need to see my friends more, and play the games I never got to play (damn God of War is good).

So, of course I dreamt of an overnight success 🥇, but I got the second best thing, which is to reach the goal I set for my self and to learn as much as I could in the process 🥈. My next goal is now set to the end of January 2022, and it is to improve the product with user feedbacks and grow a small but active community (100-1000 users) around BuzzRank!
