[ Learn Accounting ] What are the best resources for learning **accounting**?

I'm aggregating a set of lists of the best resources for learning accounting for entrepreneurs, small business owners, investors, and.....accounting professionals.

I'll post a list specifically for IndieHackers once the full list is compiled :)

I divide resources into several levels, depending on how deep you want to go:

1. "Entry points"—gives the learner course-grained understanding of key concepts, in a format digestible by a general audience. ex: Aesop's Fables.

2. "1st Hand Interpretations for a Learner"—good books by practitioners with direct interaction with the source of truth that provide a more digestible synthesis for those who wish to gain fluency in the domain. ex: the good academic textbooks

3. "1st Hand Interpretations for other Experts"—similar to the above except written on a specific topic for someone who is already fluent in the domain.

4. "Source of Truth"—bodies of knowledge that set a basis for reality in the domain. ex: Federal Accounting Standards, International accounting standards.

5. "Historical Synthesis"—Adds in the perspective of time and how the domain has developed over time. Ex: historical reviews, books by seasoned experts reflecting on the domain

Books, online courses, podcasts, applications all count.
