I've been working on this course for the last 8 months. My main motivation was the lack of proper guides for semantic and accessible HTML.
While you can get a result on the screen easily with HTML and CSS,
Why is it not just a lifetime license? I mean, I guess I know why, I just don’t like this pricing model.
It’s rare to see HTML resources. It’s even rarer to see accessibility, wai-aria, and schema.org learning resources.
With video courses, the cost to keep things up is close to zero (if you decide to shut down the platform, you can just send a ZIP file). However, that's not the case with this platform.
It's not a subscription, however.
Indeed it's rare to see HTML resources that focus on semantics and accessibility. Aria is baked throughout the course (only when needed because it's usually best to just use the native elements if possible). Schema.org is mentioned towards the end.
How is it not a subscription? Sure, it may be five years, not one year—but that’s still a subscription. The exception would be if I can keep all the content and download all the videos without future updates, but I don’t see that marketed on your landing page.
As for content, nice job covering those topics. I do wish there were more in-depth guides for aria and schema.org. While it’s best to use native elements, I would like to learn how to make custom elements more accessible.
