Hello, I have been an Angular Frontend Developer until now and I want to create my first small side project and also want to learn Ruby on Rails while creating my side project.
We use Ruby on Rails for the backends at my job too, so I already know some basic things about Ruby on Rails. Now I was searching for an online course but couldn't find one which is up to date (Rails 6 or at least Rails 5) and also doesn't have a load of content which I already know or don't need to know (e.g. Frontend Development with Rails).
Do you have any suggestions on how to approach this?
Hi Yassine,
I suggest to check out https://gorails.com/series/how-to-build-apis-with-rails, they are using Rails 5, which is good enough as not too much has changed API-wise in Rails 6.
Also, check out https://medium.com/@oliver.seq/creating-a-rest-api-with-rails-2a07f548e5dc
Hope that helps!
I second the GoRails rec. I'm not even a Ruby dev and I bought a subscription last Black Friday. Or actually it was a month or two before that and I converted to annual during the sale.
