Learn UI/UX with interactive quizzes!

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well.

Me and Julien have working on something new during this pandemic and we would be super happy to have your feedback.

I’ve been a Product Designer for years now and I always been interested in learning in general. Two months ago, I realized there were a lot of products to learn Coding/Maths with interactive lesson, I’m talking about codecademy, brilliant. But there’s nothing like this for UI/UX.

I’ve always thought UI/UX is about solving problems and as always you need to practice to learn to think and see like a designer. Once you think and see like a designer you can make choices like a designer. It’s easy to think « Wow this page looks good, the experience is awesome » but it’s more complicated to know why in order to learn and recreate it on your own design.

That’s why we created Uxcademy, a platform to develop his UI/UX skills with interactive quizzes.
We will offer a variety of lessons based around quizzes in order to learn to think like a designer.

We just launched our landing page -> uxcademy.com

Take a look and we would love to have your feedback! We are also building a Slack for people who needs feedback or want to try the lessons before they go live, if you want to join it, just sign up on uxcademy :)

Thanks a lot,

Interesting concept! I tried out your demo quiz and it is a cool idea but TBH even if I had all correct answers, some of the available answers (& questions) do not make sense since it could be a matter of taste instead of pure UX knowledge.

The Answer explanation could also be presented differently with examples showcasing how this would work in "production".

      Hi, thanks for your feedback!

The demo quiz was definitely a very simple sneakpeak of what's coming. You're not the first one to tell us that about the answers, even if I believe it was not a matter of taste :) But yeah design is not an exact science. We actually changed the questions with real example and I think it's more clear now. Let me know.

We just wanted to make our landing interactive with a very simple quiz but the coming lessons are, of course much more complete and quizzes are part of them.

Hey, That's actually a nice concept. I like how it simplifies the learning of UX and its principles.

Very very nice concept, just what I needed now.

I have no design background and very little money to hire a designer.

I was told my site looks terrible recently and referred to the book by Steve Krug - Don't Make Me Think about human-computer interaction and web usability. I did not get to read it yet.

So a course would be my first choice.

This is a kickass concept. I'd totally use it. It's just so good to interact with a piece of Information than just reading about it.

    Love this! Subscribed!

I really like the idea, and signed up for early access.
Just a suggestion, I stumbled when reading the name. I wanted to read it as "UX Academy", but it's missing that "a." If more people stumble on that, you might consider a different domain/name 👍

Thanks for the feedback! We will keep on eye on it. I think we got inspired by "Codecademy" do you feel the same about it too?

Could just be the flow. Codecademy reads pretty well, but with UXcadamy, I get stuck on that x to c transition. 🤷‍♂️I could be the only one though.

Wonderful, I will give it a shot when it's ready.

The same. I even thought that it was same question and some bug. :D maybe different picture would help.
