Less than 5% of MCP servers are monetized — building the missing billing layer

Anthropic reports 10k+ active public MCP servers, but almost none of them charge for usage. Talked to a few builders — the blocker isn't demand, it's that OAuth + Stripe metering + rate limits eat a weekend that could go into the actual tool.
