Today I've learned another lesson while building my SaaS & thought I should share it here.
I've made BannerPot available for open beta a week back. I'm still actively busy implementing on the early feedback I've received from people so not doing any hard marketing effort at the moment.
So when I was making BannerPot available publically available, I've added live chat support in the application. I've used FreshChat tool for live chat & just added the chat plugin in hurry & didn't actually implement to gather to collect user details(name, email) in the chat tools, also not enabled notification to give support.
I've got 19 registers in so far, I was assuming that they are maybe my fellow indie hackers just looking into product. Just now I was looking into this chat tool & found out that there are already two potential customer queries pending from a few days. Since I do not have user details now I can't actually solve their queries, which means I might have lost a first potential customer :(
So lesson learned, make sure to give full efforts while doing these little nitty-gritty things.
Do you have experienced such a thing in your journey?
Happy hacking!
